The project area A delivers spatially and temporally resolved measurement and simulation data of velocity, temperature and species in the gas flow of the bed. These results serve as a basis to derive reduced models for the gas phase phenomena and for the validation of the overall DEM/CFD simulations in project area C. In project area B the data are used as boundary conditions for particle reactions.
