Project Area B

The project area B will deliver measurement data for particle motion and models for particle-particle heat transfer and for particle reaction. These results will be the basis to derive reduced single particle models and to validate the overall DEM/CFD simulations in the project area C. In project area A, the data are used as boundary conditions for the fully resolved flow simulations and to define the requirements for the particle packing morphology to be realised.
