After the success of the first International Workshop in June 2022 in Bochum (picture above),

the second International Workshop in this series of events will take place in June 2025 in Magdeburg (Germany)

and focus on the

Modelling and Experimental Characterization of Reactive Particle-Gas Systems.

It addresses researchers in industry, universities and research centres.

It is organized by the Collaborative Research Centre 287 BULK-REACTION.

Selected contributions will be invited to submit a full journal article for publication in a Special Issue of Particuology.

The main topics of this workshop:

  • Advancement in simulations of reactive particle-gas systems (especially based on DEM/CFD)

  • Single particle reaction models (detailed, reduced, pore network models…)

  • Gas flow and gas-phase reactions in particle-gas systems (DNS, LES, porous media models…)

  • Advanced measurement techniques in particle-gas systems (laser diagnostics, tomographic techniques, radar, PET, MRI…)

  • Reference experiments and benchmarks to validate corresponding simulations
